Enduring environments that strengthen people.
ATLAS Thermal Solutions is a veteran-owned West Virginia company founded by Aaron Read. Atlas doesn’t sell saunas or recovery units. It builds purpose-built thermal environments on two sides: architectural saunas — NORD, LUMA and SUMMIT — for homes, retreats and hospitality, and FORGE BOX™, a deployable thermal recovery system for the places where people train and work. TemperBox™ is the cold side of both.

HOW IT STARTED
Atlas started with Aaron's own experience. Years of service, including deployments overseas, put him in places where stress was constant and recovery was something you had to make room for yourself. Overseas he also saw how the sauna traditions of Scandinavia and Europe treat heat as an ordinary part of life — a daily practice rather than a luxury.
Back home in West Virginia he built a sauna for himself: dark side walls, a natural wood front, a deep roof and a stone wall behind the heater. It became the reference for SUMMIT and for how Atlas thinks about every environment it designs.

A note from Aaron.
As a Special Forces veteran, I spent years operating in environments where stress was constant, sleep was inconsistent, and injuries were something you carried, not something you fixed. Over time, the wear accumulated. Fatigue compounded, recovery slowed, and it became clear that performance without proper recovery isn’t sustainable.
When I began incorporating consistent sauna use and intentional thermal exposure, it reinforced a principle I had seen throughout my career: stress, applied correctly, builds resilience. That realization became the foundation for Atlas Thermal Solutions.
